Joginder Singh Pic: Bhawan Singh

" I will not go out quietly ...there is a lot I have seen and
heard ."

Joginder Singh is not used to fading into the night. In 1963, as a rookie police officer in the dusty town of Indi in backward northern Karnataka, Joginder Singh's target was coconut thieves. Before he retired this year, he and his men in the cbi were chasing fodder thieves. Now, politicians wait in dread for his kiss-and-tell book -- and Official Secrets Acts be damned.
