Classical Mix
BMG Crescendo, Price: Rs 75
A new series, Classical Encounters, is a mix of Carnatic and Hindustani classical music. The tracks have been recorded live during the annual India Kala Utsav concerts held all over the country by maestroes like Pandit Jasraj, Balamurali Krishna, U. Srinivas and Sudha Raghunathan. Unlike studio recording, each artiste has improvised on the spot.

Dosai Festival
Thatta Dosai Festival at the Palms, the coffeeshop at the Oberoi hotel, Delhi, offers a 115 mind-boggling variations of dosai at five-star prices of course. Vegetarians fare comprises exotic stuffings like broccoli, artichokes, mushrooms and paneer. The non-vegetarian variations include black oyster, crab flakes, pot roasted duck and shrimp. For dessert, the choice is between banana dosai with coconut ice cream, and berry comfit, almond and coconut stuffing. On till Oct 5.

ART

Contemporary Collection
To commemorate India's 50th year of Independence, Aurodhan and Hyatt Regency will hold an exhibition of Indian contemporary art, which will be on display in Delhi near the sidewalk of the hotel from October 15 till the end of the month. Exhibitions are also planned in Hyderabad and Bangalore in mid-December and in Pondicherry in January 1998.
