sorts at the Fashion Bistro in Mumbai recently, where models Sumera Peerbhoy, Ritu Sharma,
Gita Bali and Achla Sachdev cat-walked in some of Persis Khambatta's outfits, Hollywood to
Bollywood.
The occasion was the launch of a trophy
and an annual cash award of Rs 10,000 named after Persis for the top graduating student at
Mumbai's National Institute of Fashion Technology by Canadian vice-consul Sanjeev
Chowdhury.
That was nice. The dresses looked almost as elegant as when
Persis wore them. That was even better.
