January 1: New Year celebrations at Gangtok, Lachung & Pelling. Snow festival at Tsomgo & Yumthang and water sports festival begin on the Teesta & Rangit rivers.

January 13- 15: Mela at Jorethang.

February 18-19: Bumchu ceremony at Tashiding monastery.

March 15: International flower show at Gangtok and Namchi begins.

March 19-20: Holi at Gangtok.

April 1: Inauguration of the Sikkimese food and cultural festival at Gangtok and Pelling.

April 15-25: Sikkim Trek 2000.

August 3-9: Drukpa Tsechi and Guru Tsechu ceremonies at Gangtok.

August 8: Lho Rum Faat (Lepcha Festival) at Tendong .

September 13: Pang Lhabsol ceremony at Pemayangtse monastery.

October 1: Autumn flower festival at Gangtok and Namchi; water sports festival on the Teesta and Rangit river and Sikkimese food and cultural festival at Gangtok and Pelling begin.
