their War Too
At one time the recruitment centre in the Cantonment presented a forlorn look. Last week, in just two days some 8,000 aspiring soldiers queued up for the rigorous preliminary test. The inspiration was clearly Kargil. The war has not only generated patriotic fervour, it has given the soldier a new respect in society. |
