their War Too 
Jagatsinghwala, Sriganganagar,Rajasthan
81-year-old Gurdayal Singh fought in World War II, was a
pow in Germany and resumed battle in Kashmir in 1948. "I wanted to do something for
the jawans. Since I can't fight, I gave my month's pension." He travelled 65 km
changing buses to hand over Rs 1,800 to the Kargil fund of a local paper. All the way
lamenting Nehru's "original blunder" in Kashmir.
