Go Delhi: Heart Helpline
AirTel in association with Escorts Heart
Institute and Research Centre has launched a heart helpline for its
high-end subscribers: those who use their cellphones for 45 minutes to two hours a day.
That's about 20,000 people in Delhi. Dialling 707 on their mobile phones will put them on
to a panel of 30 cardiologists from Escorts who will be on call 24 hours a day, helping
callers recognise cardiac-related symptoms, and in case of emergencies, directing them to
-- or sending an ambulance from -- the nearest hospital, which could be any of a whole
bunch of centres across the city with which Escorts has a tie-up. |
