YOUTH POLL
All figures in per cent Contrary to stereotypes more urban dwellers (28 per cent) than rural residents (23 per cent) favoured political mobilisation on the basis of caste and religion. Urbanites were also more keen on banning naturalised Indians from access to top posts: 68 per cent to 57 per cent. These discrepancies apart, there was hardly a difference in the opinion of young men and women, urban or rural. |
