Go Mumbai: Restaurant
Oriental Odyssey, a wedge-shaped
Chinese eatery near the Bombay Stock Exchange, has some really good starters -- especially
the crackling spinach and golden honey baby corn. There's also a rather innovative take on
the non-veg side in the form of crab toast with nuts and the sugarcane chicken. But the
entrees, with the exception of the seafood, are just about average. A meal for a couple
including drinks averages Rs 450. There's also a special executive lunch (soup, two main
dishes, rice or noodles, dessert and a glass of beer) for Rs 180. Telephone: (022)
2625533, 2626888.
Helpline
In an effort to combat the isolation that they face, Aanchal -- a
helpline for lesbians in Mumbai -- offers a listening ear to women facing problems arising
out of their sexual orientation. Call (022) 3704709 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays
and there will be three counsellors waiting at the other end. Aanchal is the first of its
kind in the city. Further face-to-face counselling is offered to interested callers. |
