Go Kebabs: Food Festival
It's ironical: Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Kalraj Mishra, a vegetarian, is marketing the kebabs of Awadh these days. Mishra, however, was quick to clarify last week that this was just an attempt to promote tourism in his state. Organised at the Gomti Hotel, Lucknow, by the UP Tourism Corporation, the Kebab Festival -- with two more coming up -- had murg, mahi and Nargisi kebabs among others for non-vegetarians and veggie hariyali and matar kebabs. Similar festivals are coming up in Bundelkhand in November and Varanasi in December. For details call (0522) 225252. Fax: 211-776.
