Go Mumbai: Children's Store
Shopping is usually for adults with kids hanging around getting bored. But Kids Central has taken care of that. Situated at Goregaon in Mumbai, this store spread over 10,000 sq ft is devoted exclusively to children's needs. It stocks educational and recreational books and cd-roms. Apart from separate sections for garments and music, there's a toys-only area that goes by the name Toy Ocean. A special division called Babydom caters completely to the needs of infants. Telephone: (022) 876-9880.

Restaurant
Biscotti,
the latest addition to the food outlets at the Crossroads complex in Haji Ali, is in a class of its own -- and worth every rupee. An average meal for two costs Rs 700. Prepared by an Italian chef who personally supervises each dish, the food is complemented by an extensive wine list to round it off. The dishes worth trying are the smoked salmon with dressing, pasta e fagioli and fettuccine Alfredo. The ambience is stylish with avant-garde furniture and fittings. Delicacies like Dutch rusk, German zwieback and British hardtack also form a part of the menu. To avoid a long wait, make reservations (booking a week in advance is permitted). Biscotti takes catering orders as well. For further information and reservations call (022) 494-5890.
