Travel: This millennium-in-the-air celebration promises to be something else. From December 23 to January 2, the Shilon Resort in Shimla is offering rides in a specially hired, air-conditioned Bell 407 helicopter, covering the mountain ranges of Kinner Kailash and Choor Chandini. There are also balls and barbecues, fireworks displays and an open-air chess contest with life-size figures on a massive board. Guests can choose between the suites and tents.
