 NOTES The
badshahs of Indipop remixes would do well to pick up this album of
reinterpreted and remixed tracks from film, theatre and opera productions
directed by Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. It's a
foot-tapping collection, even humorous at times, and includes hits
from Strictly Ballroom, La Boheme, Midsummer Night's Dream, Lake Lost,
Haircut and the 1996 Leonardo DiCaprio-Claire Danes starrer Romeo and
Juliet for which perhaps Luhrmann is best known. The pick of the lot are
Everybody's free (to wear sunscreen) and Young hearts run free. Proof, if
any were required, that a danceable number need not be bhangra pop.
