Some Crush ! When
special invitees descend on Chateau Indage's sprawling vineyards at
Narayangaon near Pune, you know it's that time of year again. Festival
time in wine country. Except that last year, as Chateau Indage president
H.S. Uberoi puts it, it was "the first such event, so we introduced
the concept of a wine festival and wanted the guests to have a good time.
We had young models swirling to music and everyone enjoying themselves,
but this year's festival aimed at bringing together prospective business
clients who could relax and taste the best wine available in India."
The "relaxing" included jiving to Pune pop group Lambada's
music, and stomping the fruit. "The grapes felt wonderful under my
feet," gushed theatre personality Dolly Thakore, who was one among
the 250 guests. No sour grapes, you see.
