Go Delhi : Theatre Festival

India Habitat Centre is celebrating theatre man Feroz Khan's talent with a festival of his plays. From April 20-30, Khan's fans in Delhi can watch Tumhari Amrita, starring Shabana Azmi and Farooq Sheikh; the Satish Kaushik play Salesman Ramlal, an adaptation of the Arthur Miller classic Death of a Salesman; the controversial Mahatma VS Gandhi; and Saalgirah starring Anupam and Kiron Kher. Collections will go to families displaced from Kashmir. Call (011) 469-1920/1.

Art

In an art world replete with confusing idioms, Naina Kanodia likes to talk straight -- her latest expo called Naive Art shows her bold and unabashedly illustrative style. Taking a cue from the Kalighat tradition and painter Henri Rousseau, Kanodia coalesces doll- house kitsch with folk extracts. On at Shridharani Gallery till April 25. Call (011) 3718833.

Go Calcutta: Jewellery

The new virtual store, Design Centre set up by A. Sirkar Jewellers in Calcutta, makes sure you're done with shopping real quick. With over 1,300 designs to choose from in neckwear, earrings and other accessories it even has tiepins and cuff links for men. And if you find trying on the jewellery tiresome, Design Centre allows you to scan a photograph of yourself for you to try them on screen. Call (033) 440-5821/6258.

Go Mumbai: Family Club

Bullseye, a 1,200 sq m family entertainment centre has the standard four-lane bowling alley, pool tables, sports bar and the latest video games. But what makes it different is the area set aside for children. A mini train, five rides and watchful attendants for the kids so that parents too can chill. But the main attraction is the virtual reality game Laser Tag, where you zap your enemies with laser guns. Cover charge: Rs 50. Call (022) 617-8851.

Go Bangalore: Directory

Finger Tips is a handy guide to services for children. This child resources directory is brought out by Sutradhar, an educational resource centre for children. Look up information from adoption agencies to alternative schools, nature camps to non-governmental organisations, puppeteers to yoga centres. The directory, supported mainly by cry-Child Relief and You, is arranged in six sections that make it user friendly. Can be ordered directly from Sutradhar or by demand draft for Rs 125. For more information and options, call (080) 528-8545.
