raga that depicts various moods like romance, sorrows, dreams,
aspirations, is Raga Rageshwari. It is derived from the Khamaj thaat
(family) and is usually sung or played in the second prahar (segment) of
the night. It resembles the Carnatic raga, Natakuranjika. Ronu excels in
developing the jod and jhala. |
