Way to go

She's not the Kapoor in the news right now. As the press zeroes in on niece Kareena and her film debut in Refugee, Sanjna Kapoor is quietly going about her business. Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendall's daughter -- who's clung to grandfather Prithviraj and her mother's legacy, Prithvi Theatre -- is currently conducting a children's theatre workshop in Delhi. "Theatre is such an incredible medium. I think it's great as an alternative form of education," she says. "I would love to do this all the time." She can't though. In between work at Prithvi, she's found time for a spot of stage acting, put her forgettable film career behind her ("I'm open to the idea, but I don't expect roles to fall into my lap") and had a tryst with TV. Coming soon is a weekly travel show on CNBC, Way To Go, co-anchored by Sanjna along with a couple of others. But she's thrilled at the moment for other reasons. "I wish I had the time to produce more plays," she sighs. "I did this children's play The Boy Who Stopped Smiling, which has just completed a 100 shows, but it should have done about 200." Always, always, there's theatre.
