They're calling it spendertainment. The snazzy, cheerily done up new Swatch showroom in the PVR Priya 1 cinema complex, Vasant Vihar, attracted a host of socialites, models, and editors who landed up to choose a watch "that best identifies with their personality, attitude and mood". Chuckled couturier Suneet Varma, "You've got to see the one I picked," and he fished out a watch with a bright red dial. The first exclusive Swatch showroom in northern India has watches priced between Rs 1,400 and 4,650. Funkie Orbit, India's first indoor amusement playstation at a mall, is a godsend for all those 'shop till you drop' mothers.
