From Kalpa Druma, the centre for exquisite handicrafts of Tamil Nadu, comes Home Art, a store offering traditional Indian and modern furniture and furnishings. "Synthetic furnishings, fully seasoned wood, home-washed material, export-quality designs, household linen, dining tables, you name it, we make it," says S. Muthuraman, the store's marketing manager. Each of the five floors is unique. Among other things, Home Art stocks intricately carved rosewood tables (price: Rs 52,000 and above), fully upholstered sofa sets (from Rs 24,000 onwards), dressing and console tables and indigenous upholstery in over 500 varieties in the upper floors. Go Mumbai: Candy Store

Candy Court, a complete candy store, has a range of gummy bears, jelly beans, crackles, the works. It's an out-and-out brat haven. Two of them, actually, one at the mall, Crossroads, and another in suburban Khar, both stacked with local and imported bon-bons on low, child-friendly shelves.
