For the rest, this lounge-cum-pub with a dance floor serves up a variety of cuisines from Thai to Chinese and Italian. The Thai starters are especially good. Says owner Arvind Hegde, who also runs restaurants Thai Connection and Memories of China: "Here, if the action at the pub bores you, you don't have to leave. Just go over to the lounge and carry on eating." Meal for two averages Rs 500, exclusive of drinks and tax. At Waterfield Road, Bandra (West). Call (022) 641-5221/2/3 for further details. Go Chennai: Kids' hangout Here's one more reason to visit Spencer Plaza on Mount Road. Jus' Kidding not only sells toys, clothes, furniture, footwear, books, music, confectionery and toiletries for children, the 10,000 sq ft hangout also has a play area, an aquarium, even a mothers' room stacked with free toiletries. Says retail manager John Abraham: "It provides the right ambience for kids and the child in each of us to break away." Added attractions on weekends include puppet shows, story-telling sessions, portrait sketching and more. Telephone: (044) 854-0098. GO Calcutta: Tea Bar Calcutta is always ready for a cuppa. So this 15-seater, 300 sq ft Cha Bar (tea bar) is a welcome addition to Oxford Bookstore Gallery. "Bookstores the world over have a coffee corner," says Maina Bhagat of Oxford. "Since tea is Calcutta's favourite beverage, we decided to have this instead." On offer are eight different types of single-estate tea, several blends, some organic tea, coffee, snacks, tea memorabilia (books, teapots, caddies), even recipes. Expensive, at Rs 25 a cup, but great for ambience. Go Delhi: Boutique Ever picked up a dress for your daughter and wished you had one like that for yourself?
