Show of Jaws Humans taste horrible!" Prahlad Kakkar, the ad guru insisted, while kids and parents nodded in agreement. Nothing like some smart lines against human cruelty towards animals to bind people together -- specially kids. At a workshop for 300 school-goers organised jointly by the Reef Watch Marine Conservation and Sanctuary Cub Magazine on World Shark Awareness Day in Mumbai, Kakkar, Parinita and Mitali (Reef Watch divers) and Bittu Sahgal of the mag put up a slide show, a documentary on shark slaughter and even a snorkelling demonstration. Reactions? Simone Louis, 9, says she will "not pollute the sea" and "give sea creatures lots of food", while Swapnil, 15, says youngsters "are the future of the country's environment". And the moral of the evening was also well digested -- sharks are not as dangerous to man as man is to sharks. -Natasha Israni
