Well. We had seen this coming. And as it turns out, she had too. Before
leaving for the contest, Priyanka Chopra, 18, crowned Miss World
2000 in London's Millennium Dome, had promised dad Ashok that she would
do "a hat trick for India", following Lara Dutta's win at the
Miss Universe pageant. The crown makes the 5'8'' Ambala native the fifth
Indian to win the pageant. "Knew she would win,'' says Ritu Kumar,
who organised Chopra's wardrobe. Thank heavens the judges thought so too.
