CYBER LAWS
# Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code says
exhibition of lascivious matter that appeals to prurient interest is an
offence.
# Such an exhibition on any kind of medium is
punishable by imprisonment that may extend up to three years.
# Section 509 of the IPC says that intention
to outrage a woman's modesty by uttering any word, sound or by making
any gesture, is an offence.
# The intention to outrage a woman's modesty
is punishable by imprisonment that may extend up to one year.
# Section 67 of the Information Technology Act
says that publishing lascivious material in electronic format is an offence.
# Section 67 of the IT Act also says that such
electronic publishing is punishable by imprisonment of up to five years
and fine of up to Rs 1 lakh.
