In order to gauge public opinion on Jayalalitha becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu despite being convicted, INDIA TODAY commissioned ORG-MARG to conduct a survey in key metros. On May 16, 1,052 respondents were quizzed in five cities-Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore.The results show that while four metros strongly disapprove of Jayalalitha's ascendancy, the balance tilts in her favour in Chennai.
