Producing Less With More Land
India ranks seventh in the world areawise, and second in terms of arable land. Over 50 per cent of our total area is cultivable compared to 7.6 per cent of Russia and 18.9 per cent of the US. Yet, with just over half the arable land compared to that of India is ahead in terms of rice, corn and wheat production.
