Late last week, INDIA
TODAY crossed yet another significant milestone. Its
Internet edition completed one year. During this period, visitors to the website browsed
through the Jain Commission's Interim Report, followed election results live, kept track
of international cricket matches and sent nifty digital rakhis absolutely free. That's
part of the fun of being on the Internet -- you don't pay for anything and yet get to be
as fussy as any paying customer. For us, the demanding new environment on the Net means
that we constantly innovate and experiment. That's exactly how we've managed to draw more
than 5,00,000 visitors to the site last month.

If you haven't visited us before, here's some advice:
be prepared for a barrage of information. Everything from the INDIA TODAY stable is online: BUSINESS TODAY, COMPUTERS TODAY, INDIA TODAY PLUS, TEENS TODAY. If that's not
enough, you can go through Art Today exhibitions or sample Music Today titles and view
some artistes perform on video. And it's worth checking out News Today, updated four times
a day with reports of the latest events across the country. I also suggest you subscribe
to our free electronic newsletter and get the most important news delivered to your
desktop.
As you may have noticed, some of what is happening on the
website is pretty different from what you see in print. That's the direction for the
future. India Today Group Online will deliver more original content in exciting new
interactive formats to keep you hooked longer to the site. As Arun Katiyar, Executive

push the frontiers of the medium." In many ways, that's how the print edition of the
